Features like aerospace quality castings for the dual ball bearing block, big valve cylinder head and side cover, and a forged and induction hardened crankshaft are some of the features to name a few. Couple this with such well known high performance aftermarket companies like: Cometic Gaskets, Wiseco Pistons, Dyno Cams, K&N Filters, LA Sleeves, NGK Spark plugs and Tillotson carburetors and you have a very potent combination right out of the box. This gives you a package that will bring the engine up to maximum specs (displacement, compression ratio, valve size, etc.) and all you’ll have to do to have a race ready engine will be to hone and fit the piston and do some minor grinding in the cylinder head to match the port runners to the valve bowls and intake manifold. No other machining or processing is necessary. From there the YF200 R1 can be assembled in a short period of time using conventional hand tools.
