The Burris heavy duty hand held starter unit is designed to get those big motors started. No more worries about getting fire to that 500cc Jawa or GM on the line. Connect this big boy up to a 750cca+ automotive battery (NOT INCLUDED) via the included cables and you got that monster rolling.

The rotation of the starter is determined by the
direction the shaft spins while facing the starter motor from the front (shaft
side)

Right hand (3.0kw) = counterclockwise (standard for most Kart applications where the engine is mounted on the right side)

Left hand (3.0kw) = clockwise

The 11.5″ long shaft is common for most standard kart applications in order to reach the starter nut. The 3″ &  6″ shaft lengths works well when there is easy access to the starting point of the engine or jackshaft.

DO NOT CONTINUOUSLY TURN THE ENGINE OVER FOR MORE THAN 5 SECONDS AT A TIME TO DRAW FUEL OR IF YOU ARE HAVING A FUEL/SPARK ISSUE. THIS WILL OVERHEAT THE STARTER AND SOLENOID AND MAY CAUSE A FAILURE.
